The President Of The Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation Met With The Georgian Ambassador To Azerbaijan

On March 5, Mammad Musayev, President of the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation met with Zurab Pataradze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia.

It has been stressed that relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia have always been at a high level, ASK President M.Musayev said that on the basis of the wise decision of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and the agreement reached by President Ilham Aliyev, passage of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway through Georgia, economic ties between our countries have been further strengthened. Reminding that Georgia has always endorsed the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, M.Musayev emphasized that Azerbaijani businessmen have invested heavily in Georgia.

The Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan informed that the existing opportunities should be mobilized for gradual development of economic relations in future between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Afterwards, the Ambassador underscored that a working visit of the Georgian Prime Minister to Azerbaijan was planned soon, and proposed to the President of the Confederation to hold a business forum within the framework of the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Georgia Economic Commission.

Musayev reminded that a Memorandum of Cooperation was recently signed between ASK and AZEBI (an organization of Azerbaijani businessmen working in Georgia). He underlined that the significance of continuing business relations through the Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan trilateral format and proposed to hold a joint business forum with the participation of businessmen from all three states.

The Ambassador welcomed the proposal with consent and put forward his proposals for future cooperation

The sides exchanged views on the implementation of the Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan trilateral business forum.
