A Meeting With A Japanese Investor Was Held At The Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation

A meeting was held at the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation with Taro Savada, Director of TET International Development.

The meeting was dedicated to the discussion of the plans of Japanese businessmen’s forthcoming business visits to Azerbaijan and the activities of the companies laid the foundation by TET in our country.

Through the meeting, President of the Confederation Mammad Musayev provided comprehensive information to the guest on business opportunities in the country, the policies being implemented to achieve sustainable economic development, the favourable conditions created for attracting foreign investment to the country. He mentioned that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, construction work has been expanded in our lands liberated by the Victorious Army, and many foreign investors have been engaged in the re-construction process.

The director of the company T.Savada underscored that he has a special respect for Azerbaijan, our people, national traditions and has been exploring business opportunities in our country since 2017. As a result, the company is already operating in the sector of tobacco in several regions. In 2019, two tobacco drying plants in Azerbaijan were opened, and this year it is preparing to open two more tobacco drying plants.

The director of TET International Development also informed regarding the plans to invest in various sectors of agriculture in Azerbaijan. According to him, tobacco enterprises will be opened in Tovuz on July 9 and in Zagatala on July 12, and there are preliminary plans for investments in Masalli, Gabala and Karabakh in 2022.

Noting that 75-100 Japanese investors will come to Azerbaijan as a group in August, September and October this year, Savada asked for the Confederation’s support to acquaint them with investment opportunities in Azerbaijan.

TET’s proposal to open an Azerbaijan Trading House in Japan was also welcomed, and it was noted that there are favourable conditions for the continuation of business cooperation between the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs and the Company in this direction.
