The Issues Of Cooperation Between The Azerbaijan Confederation Of Entrepreneurs And Mingachevir State University Were Discussed

On April 22, a meeting was held between the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK) and Mingachevir State University (MSU) to establish cooperation. The meeting was attended by MSU Rector Shahin Bayramov and advisor Hamiz Mahmudov, ASK Vice-president Vugar Zeynalov, Acting Secretary General Kristina Mammadova, Chief Advisers to the President of the Confederation Shabnam Nuriyeva and Farid Valizade.

Expressing gratitude for the cordial meeting, MSU Rector Sh.Bayramov spoke about the strategic goals of the university. The rector stressed the importance of cooperation with industry to become a university of a new era, to be a driver of the region’s innovation ecosystem, to provide quality education and research services. Noting that university-industry cooperation is one of the priority areas for this purpose, the rector noted the recent steps taken at MSU and the results achieved. Expressing confidence that the establishment of relations with the Confederation, which unites thousands of business entities, will make a significant contribution to the work done, Bayramov shared his views on potential areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

Expressing satisfaction with the meeting with the university staff, ASK Vice President V. Zeynalov spoke about the role of higher education institutions in the socio-economic development of society. V.Zeynalov noted that universities have great potential to contribute to the development of entrepreneurship, but also noted that cooperation with industry has a significant impact on the training of highly qualified personnel meeting modern requirements of the labor market, effective research and development of innovation ecosystem. Speaking about the projects implemented by the ASK to support the development of entrepreneurship in the regions, the Vice President of the Confederation said that they are always open to cooperation with MSU and made specific proposals for this purpose.

Following the discussions, the meeting agreed to develop an action plan to establish and develop bilateral cooperation.

It should be noted that MSU, which aims to become one of the important actors in the regional ecosystem, pays special attention to the development of educational and industrial cooperation in various formats in order to improve the quality of staff training, improve the content of education and increase research results.
