The president of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan made a speech at the Turkic World Business Forum

On September 14, the meeting of the Ministers of Economy and Trade of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States and the Turkic World Business Forum were held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Members of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, businessmen of the Turkic world participated part in the event.

Azerbaijan was represented by 55 companies organized by the the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

President of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry Rifat Hısarcıklıoğlu, who opened the forum, shared his views on the work done and the development of economic cooperation between the Turkic states. Mr. Mammad Musayev, the President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan emphasized that almost 14 years have passed since the establishment of the Organization of Turkic States, which was founded in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan on October 3, 2009, and that our state, especially our President, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, played a big role in the development of the organization.

He mentioned that the political union of the Turkic states required the strong development of economic relations and the deepening of integration, and it stipulated the unification of the entrepreneurs of the member countries under a single platform. It was as a result of the efforts of the Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey that the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established under the Organization of Turkic States, and the Confederation took an important place in the establishment of the Chamber and contributed to the future development of the Chamber by becoming a member.

Mr. M. Musayev also mentioned the joint activity of Turkey and Azerbaijan in the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.

“You know that Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and I are members of the Board of Directors of Islamic Trade, Industry and Agriculture. I believe that we can make a great contribution to strengthening the relations of the Turkic states with the Islamic world. Islamic countries are an interesting and new geography for the businessmen of the Turkic states in agriculture and especially in the halal food segment.” – he said.

Then, the President of the Confederation, touching upon the actions done in our lands freed from occupation under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the conditions created for businessmen, called on the businessmen of the Turkic world to invest in Karabakh, to benefit from its economic opportunities, and in this activity, “We are with you, we are by your side”, – he said.

Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev emphasized that the trade turnover between member states of the Organization of Turkic States has increased in recent years. The deputy minister especially noted that the cooperation between businessmen of the Turkic world is expanding and deepening.
