“Azerbaijani Stands” Met With Interest At The Makkah Halal Forum

The Makkah Halal Forum is being held in Makkah, Saudi Arabia from January 23-25. Entrepreneurs representing the food, perfumery and service sectors are participating in the forum under the leadership of Mammad Musayev, president of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Exhibition stands of Azerbaijan Confederation of Entrepreneurs as well as Small and Medium Business Development Agency are also operating at the Makkah Halal Exhibition held within the framework of the forum. The stands were met with interest by visitors of the exhibition.

At the Mecca International Conference Center in Saudi Arabia, held under the leadership of Saudi Trade Minister His Highness Dr. Majid bin Abdulla al-Qasabi, Secretary General of the Confederation of entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Natavan Mammadova made a speech at the first panel of the Forum. She spoke about the prospects of applying halal standards in Azerbaijan, the work done in this field, especially the relations established with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Referring to the favorable geographical position of our country, N. Mammadova, emphasized that it borders with large Muslim states. In particular, since it has identical roots to other 70 million Muslims living in Central Asia, also taking into account that it is located in the South Caucasus, where about 30 million Muslim people living on the territory of Russia are more concentrated, she proposed to consider Azerbaijan as a “Halal destination” in this geography.

It should be noted that the Makkah Halal Forum is the only and prestigious event that brings together participants with great influence in the halal market from all over the world. The forum consists of exhibition, awards, 40 sessions and workshops, B2B meetings, networking opportunities, knowledge sharing and sections dedicated to business growth.
