A meeting was held at the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan with Munechika Tanio, Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (TET).
ASK Vice President Vugar Zeynalov briefed the guest on the Confederation and spoke about the work done in the framework of public-private partnership.
TET Vice President Munechika Tanio said the company unites more than 1,000 investors. The Japanese have been operating in Azerbaijan since last year, and the initial investment was in tobacco. A tobacco drying station has been built in Oguz and investments are being made in Tovuz for this purpose. The Japanese plan to invest $ 40 million in tobacco alone.
At the same time, Mr. Tanio said that 100 Japanese investors are expected to visit Azerbaijan next month. During these visits, investors will travel to specific regions in various fields and collect detailed information.
The vice-president of TET suggested that investors meet with ASK members during this business tour.
