The president of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic Mammad Musayev met with Pule Isaac Melafen who is extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Republic of South Africa to Turkey and Azerbaijan. Mammad Musayev gave broad information about the activity of Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, adding that the organization headed by him protects the interests of more than 800000 entrepreneurs. He noted that the main purpose of the organization is to take part in process of establishing more favorable business environment through government-private sector cooperation in the country and ensuring sustainable development by using potential of its members.  The president of Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations informed the ambassador about the economic reforms implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev for the acceleration non-oil sector development in the country where oil and gas production makes the important part of Azerbaijani economy. Ambassador was informed about the importance given to the development of different sectors of agriculture, including   viticulture, cotton-growing, winemaking, tobacco-growing and other sectors.

“South African Republic is one of the developed countries in the Africa mainland. The winemaking, tourism and other areas are being developed in your country. We can co-operate with analogical organizations in South African Republic which  represent the entrepreneurs, in order to jointly organize  business forums  and invite your country’s businessmen to participate in exhibitions and forums in Azerbaijan”, -said Mammad Musayev. Ambassador of SAR to Azerbaijan Pule Isaac Melafenini  based in Ankara  stated that one of the purposes of his trip is to discuss the ways of  co-operating  with the organizations like AEC which represent the entrepreneurs.

“It is important for us to broaden our relations with Azerbaijan for its geographical location. At present the trade turnover with SAR and Azerbaijan does not represent our potential. Taking into account the existence of diplomatic relations between our countries, we assume that it is necessary to develop the trade relations as well. We can give information to Azerbaijani business circles through joint projects, trips, events. As an ambassador we are ready to support your any initiatives in order to build relations with similar organizations which represent the entrepreneurs in South African Republic. In addition, a series of events are planned to be held this year to honor Nelson Mandela’s 100th anniversary. I have already given a lecture in front of students of Baku State University about Nelson Mandela’s life. If the chance appears to bring together your members, we would be very pleased to give information about business opportunities in South African Republic and the life of Nelson Madera to business community in Azerbaijan,”-  said ambassador.

Mammad Musayev said he is well- informed about Nelson Madela’s life who was head of movement against  apartheid regime for what he went through difficult exams of life.

“I have read a lot about his life.He was the great prominent fugure and  real  exemplary character for mankind.  What attracted my attention about him was that after becoming the president Mandela invited the prosecutor who convicted him  for lunch at the presidential mansion. The humaneness and act of forgiveness  displayed by Mandela should be a model for humanity. As a person who respects his personality we would be pleased to support organizing the events you offered,” said Mammad Musayev.
