Procedure of electricity supply to existing and built construction facilities simplified
In accordance with President Ilham Aliyev’s Decree on “”Simplification of the procedure of electricity supply to existing or built construction facilities”, entrepreneurs will now be able to build or construct existing facilities in Mingachevir, Sabirabad, Barda, Gabala and Masalli up to 150 kW and up to 0.4 kV. It should be noted that so far entrepreneurs have joined the electricity network in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja cities and ASAN Kommunal centers in Guba.
Technical conditions for connecting to 50 kWh of existing facilities to the existing 0.4 kW power network will be available no later than 24 days by “Azərişıq” Ltd. in the service centers of ASAN Kommunal and ASAN. It should be borne in mind that in many developed countries around the world the process of connecting electricity to working hours has been reduced from 69 to 24 days. Another innovation in this area is the reduction of the procedures of a single window systemfrom 7 to 3. Further advantage that entrepreneurs receive from this reform process is the electrification of transactions and the minimization of contacts between officials and civil servants.
The process of supplying electricity to the house, garden or courtyard of “Azerişıq” subscribers through ASAN Service and ASAN Kommunal covered ASAN service centers in all regions a month ago and currently covers unsettled country’s connection to the powergrid. It is a vivid example of economic reforms.
One of the measures in the “Strategic Roadmap for the production of consumer goods at the level of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Azerbaijan” (Action 1.5.5) is related to further simplifying the process of connecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to relevant public services. This event will focus on simplifying the procedures for connecting KOS facilities to power supply networks, as well as improving the rules for providing technical conditions, and measures will be accelerated to fully electronize this process. This Presidential Decree is crucial for the implementation of the measures set out in the Strategic Roadmap.
The integration of entrepreneurs into electric networks is more efficient for their activities and is reflected in the methodology of international indices. The Doing Business report, which is the benchmark for the international community, is seen as a field indicator. Azerbaijan’s position in the field, known as an indicator of availability for electricity, has increased compared to the previous period.
