ASK President spoke at the Ministerial Session of the OIC Labor Ministers Conference
On November 23, the 5th conference of labor ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was held in Baku.
At the event, the appeal of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev was announced to the participants of labor ministers of OIC member states of the 5th conference held in Baku. The text of the appeal was read by Head of the Department of Economic Policy and Industrial Affairs of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Natig Amirov.
During the session, the speech of Adnan Abdulla Al Nuaim, the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a chairman of the 4th conference of OIC labor ministers was heard.
Then the chairman of the conference and the composition of the office were elected. Sahil Babayev, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who was elected as the chairman of the conference, emphasized that this conference of the OIC created an opportunity for active exchange of experience and expansion of relations between the member countries .
He noted the relevance of productive employment and decent work for all, youth employment for OIC countries, the importance of digitalization in solving such priorities and tasks as increasing transparency, quality of services, accessibility and efficiency in the social sphere, and the importance of mutual exchange of experience in solving social issues.
President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, speaking at the event, said that the Confederation represents Azerbaijani entrepreneurs in the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture uniting the business community of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
“I myself am a member of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture. I would like to mention that in July of this year, we held a prestigious event of the Board of Directors of the Chamber in Baku and brought together influential businessmen representing Islamic countries. This event was very useful in terms of the integration of Azerbaijan into the Islamic world and the expansion of commercial and economic relations between our countries,” he said.
Musayev emphasized that the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan also represents employers of the republic according to the tripartite General Collective Agreement signed with the state, and drew attention to the constantly developing cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. Speaking of the great economic potentiality of the Islamic world, he said that he is ready for close cooperation to make this turn into a reality.
